Tressa's Journey to India

Hello, all! 

You've arrived at my fundraising page for myself to go to India, my homeland! I haven't had a chance to go back yet and it's been a little over 25 years since I have been back!  Preparing for the trip is so exciting, nervewracking  to me.  As an adoptee, it has been always been a goal for me to return to India at some point, but there was never a specific time I wanted to lock myself to.  It has felt important to me to prioritize that I want to be in a place of emotional, physical, and spiritual readiness and not stress about the timing and for it to feel right.

As I have delved into the  work of being ready,  I have gotten more comfortable sharing my own adoption story. That act alone propelled me to consider visiting sooner or later, with the support of a family member or close friend.  I will be going with my well traveled younger sister. 

In conjunction to this page as a way to receive financial support for ticket costs, medical expenses, housing, passport renewal, travel insurance and make room for unforeseen expenses, I am also choosing to work on creative projects,  working extra shifts at my community of Jesus People USA and whatever else comes along.

I plan on writing out a concrete plan on goals for this trip shortly. (Places I want to go to, places to see.)
