Tre’s dinged up paw

Hello friends, it’s not easy for me to type this, and not only because my hand is in a splint.

To make a long story short, an injury to my left middle finger has left me unable to work for a yet to be determined amount of time. My company has been very supportive, I’m so thankful for that. I’m also thankful that worker’s comp is covering the majority of my medical expenses but they only pay part of my wages. That, and my inability to do projects I’d lined up for friends and family outside of my normal working hours has left me in a financial pickle.

To the best of our knowledge, the surgery I received Monday went well but I don’t yet know the extent of my downtime from work and my ability to provide for myself and Rachael (and Monster and Tugboat). This injury will have lasting impacts on my hand, and my hands are how I make my living. The stress and worry and uncertainty have definitely had an impact on me already. I don’t have control of so many things, so I’m creating this to hopefully ease the financial stress until I’m able to get back to work full time (and sometimes nights and weekends).

If you’re able to spare a few dollars it would make a huge difference for me, and if you’re not I completely understand too.
