Trent’s Medical Bills & Recovery(Update below)

CURRENT UPDATE BELOW:
This fundraiser is for Trent Lieffring, a 23 years old college student at Volunteer State. On Sunday afternoon (August 21st) Trent had a sudden seizure and went into full cardiac arrest. He is currently in the ICU fighting for his life.
According to all his doctors, the two happening at the same time are extremely rare and inexplicable.
Anyone who has ever met Trent knows what an incredibly kind and giving soul he has. Throughout his life he has been a constant source of love and laughter - and always put others before himself.
Unfortunately Trent does not have health insurance, and from all current indications, we are now looking at a long recovery.
As such our family will keep this page updated and literally anything you can do is much appreciated.

Sunday September 18th Update:
It appears Allopathic Medicine has now given up on Trent, pronouncing him as ‘vegetative’ but breathing on his own.
Trent has now been transferred to a Tennessee state funded nursing home that is not equipped to handle someone in his medical condition (anoxic brain injury from cardiac arrest).
The lack and quality of care is so poor at the state facility, Trent’s father and I have made the decision to take him home immediately. We will have to find a way to care for him ourselves due to Trent not having Medical benefits.
This will be an enormous financial burden and we are desperately in need of your help and financial support.
We are now turning to the power of Peptides and Prayer. Working with 2 leading Peptide Experts, we are employing a Peptide Protocol that has never been attempted before. They believe there is still a chance to regenerate areas of Trent’s brain damaged by the injuries he suffered.
Please send your healing love, intention and prayer and if you are able, please contribute financially to Trent's cause.
UPDATE (9/10):
Trent finally is free of his trache or any other breathing devices and is back to breathing through his nose and mouth like normal. Other than he is holding steady.
UPDATE (8/29):
1.). THE CHALLENGING NEWS:
Thanks to friends who have called in favors
several expert physicians have now looked at Trent’s records - and they are all in agreement.
The damage to his brain is extensive and he now has a very long and challenging fight ahead. He had a feeding tube installed and the hospital is now preparing to transfer Trent to a long-term care facility in the next few days; where it is likely that he will spend the next few years fighting his way back.
Since Trent did not have insurance, we are applying for any government assistance we can get - but from what we’ve heard, if we can get him admitted - the level of care in those facilities is far from optimal.
While the doctors are doing their best to be realistic in saying that Trent will likely be handicapped to some extent the rest of his life - we KNOW that miracles do happen - and if anyone can fight their way back and conquer something like this, it WILL definitely be Trent.
2.) THE GREAT NEWS:
Every day we are seeing more and more improvements!
As of this morning Trent is now breathing on his own without a ventilator! He regularly opens his eyes and will sometimes shift them to you while you’re talking to him.
By all indications, he can hear us - so we are taking turns talking and praying with him, massaging his arms and legs, and reading to him.
While the improvements we are seeing are slow and incremental, but every one gives us more determination and hope than the day before.
3.). HOW YOU CAN HELP
Since Trent will be transferred to a long term care facility in the next few days - our focus now has completely shift to getting him into the best rehabilitation program we can possibly afford.
While this fight is likely to last a few years, the doctors are telling us that the next 3-6 months are especially the most critical. So, we as a family are in the process of making all the sacrifices we can - and every piece of support matters more than ever.
At the present time, we have one matching funds donation - which is incredible; and at the same time we are also becoming more and more aware of the staggering amount of financial and medical support its going to take to help bring Trent back.
Please help us in any way you can, and thank you so, so much for your prayers and support.
