Heart transplant…..you never ever think that one day you would hear those words about someone you love. But here we are!!

Trent & I have known each other for a very long time. We grew up going our separate ways & raising families. Fast forward to 2011 when we saw each other while out with friends & you know the rest! Together we have four kids (all married) & 5 beautiful & precious grandchildren! God has been good!!

Trent was 35 when he had his first heart attack & soon after, he had another one which resulted in open heart surgery with five bypasses. He has had nine total (documented) heart attacks, 11 stents & a defibulator. He also has Factor 5 blood clotting disorder, diabetes, neuropathy, chronic kidney disease & other issues. We were told by his local

Cardiologist said he needed a heart transplant. In May, we started testing at UAB & was admitted on August 18th for further testing. He received a balloon pump & officially on the transplant list on August 24th!!!

We are positive God has a wonderful plan in place & we are ready to receive it. We pray fervently for the donor & family.
