Hello everyone,
My name is Trent, and I'm reaching out to share a piece of my journey with you. Mine is a story of childhood bone cancer (Survivor!!) now an adult, just status post salvaging surgery. At 42 years old, I've faced my fate share of adversity, but I'm still standing tall and am grateful for everyday.
At age 14 I was diagnosed with bone cancer. My journey of battling cancer was filled with challenge, miracles, disappointment, fun, heartache and the whole gammet of emotions, physical pain, spiritual upheaval, wonderful lifelong friends. With the support of my loved ones and the incredible medical team, I came out on the other side as a survivor. Each day felt like a victory, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
On March 8th my left leg implant, which had been a lifeline during my cancer battle, broke my femur (thigh bone), leaving me in need of “limb Salvaging” surgery.
As a self-employed individual, my livelihood depends on my ability to work. But this upcoming surgery and the lengthy recovery period, estimated to be around 9 months, leaves me unable to provide for myself and family. It's a daunting reality that weighs heavily on my mind, but I remain hopeful and grateful.
That's why I'm reaching out to you today, with a humble request for support. I'm not one to ask for help easily, but I've come to realize that sometimes, we all need a helping hand. Your generosity can make a world of difference in my life and the lives of my family members.
Your donations will go towards covering the costs of my surgery and supporting us during the recovery phase. It's not just about financial assistance; it's about giving me the peace of mind to focus on healing without worrying about how we'll make ends meet.
I know times are tough for many of us, and asking for help isn't easy. But I believe in the power of community, in the kindness of strangers who become friends in times of need. Together, we can make a difference in my life and help me take this next step towards recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me on this journey. Your kindness, compassion, and generosity mean more to me than words can express.
PLEASE READ AND SHARE, ANY HELP IS TRULY APPRECIATED
With gratitude,
Trent
