Trent Understood in an instant!
Trent has battled pain, suffering, and addiction over the past many years. His life was seemingly headed toward a tragic destruction. Trent recently wrote in his journal, "few men have seen the struggles I have survived." However, God had a different plan. Trent had a severe car accident last year. He broke bones all over his body. His hip was severely damaged and required more than one surgery. The process of rehabilitation was very painful and time consuming.

God took this pain and used it to lead Trent to repentance. Trent suffered through great pain and struggle after the accident. In addition to the pain from the accident, he was suffering withdrawals from the addictions he had. He could no longer work and even spent some time living on the streets. Trent hit rock bottom, and the only thing he knew to do was cry out to God. He did, and God rescued him. Trent called his mom, Paula, and his step dad, Waymon, went to pick him up. Trent began his journey toward redemption. Trent recently wrote, "I didn't just make up my mind to change, but my mind got rewired to think a different way." Trent went on to write, "My mind opened like it had its own set of eyes, and I saw Jesus..." Trent understood in a instant!

I didn't know Trent had written about his deliverance, before I saw it with my own eyes. He looked different, he talked different, his face illuminated the peace of God. I was sharing with Trent some recent struggles I was having. He listened intently, and then he lovingly said, "It's all going to be ok." Simple words, but it was different; these words carried an arrow that pierced my heart. I saw Trent several times over the past few weeks, and he would always repeat those words, "It's all going to be ok." He gave me a book to read that has had a deep impact on me. I am so thankful for my time with him. Trent understood in a instant!

Trent's mom, my sister, Paula, has been praying for her sons for years. Trent was not there when his momma was praying for him, but God let Trent see the power of all those prayers in a recent dream he had. Trent wrote in his journal recently, "I was surrounded by Angels, and after a time, they seem to deflate, and I would look closer, and I saw my mother in their midst praying like no other can for me. I looked back at my angels, and they were re-inflating. My Angels even draw strength from my Mother's prayers." Trent understood in a instant!

Trent's mom has been raising Trent's son for a while due to some circumstances. God used this time to even redeem his relationship with his son. He was with him everyday for a while. Referring to Jesus, Trent wrote, "Redeemer of my past and present wrongs-holder of my future and my days to come." Trent's son does not have his dad on earth any more, but now he has him eternally. Trent understood in a instant!

Trent's eyes were opened in so many different ways. He began to see people as God saw them. He wrote in his journal regarding his step dad, Waymon, "Waymon was put in my life for a reason. He never stopped loving me; neither has he given up on me regardless of my faults or downfalls. God puts people in your life for a reason-some for a season and some for life. Waymon is with me for life. Thank God, God knew I would have a void if he wasn't there." Trent understood in a instant!

Trent was still suffering from the car accident and needed to have one more surgery to repair his hip. Trent did not have any way to pay for the surgery, but he was still able to get the surgery. The surgery went well by all indications, and the doctor expected his hip to return to near normal. They released Trent on the second day after his major surgery. On Saturday, March 4th, Trent suffered, what we believe was a major blood clot in his heart or lungs, and he passed from this life to the next. Trent understood in a instant!

Trent loved everyone in his family, including his dad, Ricky Lindsey, his brother, Rick Lindsey, Paula and Waymon, his son Kanaan, and everyone else in his family he left behind. Although Trent had given his life to Christ and received his redemption and peace, Trent didn't have an opportunity to go back to work to take care of himself and his son before he passed. He has no money or insurance to leave for his burial cost or his son. In leu of flowers, please click on the donation button to donate to Trents memorial fund. All donations will go straight to Paula and Waymon to take care of funeral cost and help with the care of Trent's son. Thank you.
