Trent Teague was adored and cherished by all who knew him, and his sudden passing has been devastating for the Sacramento community. Trent dedicated his life to helping children grow and create happiness through music, bringing smiles to people's faces whenever he could.

 

Throughout his forty-year career in K-12 music education, Trent inspired thousands of Sacramento youth, and he has left a void in our community that can never be filled. To honor Trent and his dedication to music, we have established an endowment fund in Trent's name to continue his fantastic work.

 

Music brings joy to so many and creates memories for our children that last a lifetime. This fund will help preserve those experiences, with a percentage of all annual earnings being used to help fill the gaps in the music programs budget at San Juan Unified School District and Sacramento City Unified School District. This endowment will create opportunities for band camp scholarships, new musical instruments, or any other need that will enable our music programs to thrive. Excess earnings of the fund will be reinvested to build market value, empowering the fund to continue and grow, allowing Trent's name and his community impact to live on indefinitely.

The fund is housed and managed by Sacramento Region Community Foundation . Any donations to the "Trent Teague Music Education Fund" are tax-deductible, and any amount given is greatly appreciated.
