Trent could really use some help.

Hi, Trent is my son and he could really use some help.

Last night, on his birthday no less,the car he has been using experienced engine failure and caught on fire. It's completely destroyed. Thankfully, he is ok!!!

I'm asking you all on his behalf because this is just another devastating thing in a rough few years for him.

Trent has battled a number of struggles the last few years. Crushing depression, loss of job being 2 of them.

Last New Years Eve, he was hit and his car totaled. He's been driving my car, the one that went up in flames last night.

Thru all these struggles, he's managed to still pursue his Bachelors in Political Science and maintain his Honors status while working full time. Trent has also paid for his schooling himself out of pocket as he could afford it, rather than incur debt.

The last few years struggles have left him feeling pretty bad about things and now, loss of car is a crushing blow, especially while job hunting. Bus service is pretty spotty so a car is a necessity.

I will be giving him what pay out insurance gives, but my car was older and it won't be much and we will help how we can, but this now lack of car is another crushing blow. Trent could use a little help as well as a reminder that people care.
