Trent Blake’s Recovery
Donation protected
On April 3rd, 2020 my boyfriend, Trent Blake was riding his dirt bike and had a terrible accident leaving him unconscious. When he came to, he was in paralysis from the neck down. We were told due to his fall he fractured his C1 and C2 of his vertebrae causing him to lose movement on the right side of his body and they did know know what or how much would come back. He was put into a halo vest for 12 weeks. He gained his left side back after a few weeks but his right side has been slower and was much more affected. Trent has had to relearn to walk and do daily tasks on his right side such as feeding himself, holding and grabbing things, writing, you name it. His right side is still recovering with the help of physical therapy and occupational therapy but is a slow process. Due to everything going on with covid 19 we had to rely on face time to see him for a month. It has been such a hard time not only for Trent but for his loved ones. Trent is determined to get back to who he was. He is so incredibly strong, stubborn and determined. If you know the Blake family, you know they have been through a lot these last couple of months. Please keep Trent and the Blake family in your prayers. Anything helps and is appreciated more than you know. Thank you so so much.
