Tremel's Final Expenses

This week, Tremel Eskridge passed away unexpectedly at the gentle age of 40.

At 40, most people feel like life is just beginning, unfortunately, we did not expect this to be the end of Tremel’s.  Tremel had a bright future and was such a hospitable person. He had a type of kindness and humility that is rare to see in this day in time. Tremel had a quiet demeanor as he got older and learned over the course of his life that sometimes, it was better to be slow to speak, quick to listen and to always forgive. At times, people would be unsure what he was thinking about, but that was how he processed things. He truly had a soul of grace and mercy! There are so many people that have been touched by Tremel’s spirit in life; he always had a welcoming smile on his face and such an infectious laugh, which made him an unforgettable soul. He always made a way out of the most difficult situations and was willing to give the shirt off his back to a stranger if needed. Tremel had the biggest heart, which was mainly consumed with how important his children and family were to him! A lot of the love and admiration Tremel has gotten over the years are due to his service to others and the lives he's touched in the process. Two things about my brother that no one would argue against is that he was ALWAYS honest and showed integrity. He fought for people who would or could not fight for themselves and helped others even when he was barely making it himself. He was SELFLESS. Tremel was always present; when or wherever you needed him!  One thing we can learn from what we are going through now is to stop chasing our versions of perfection and learn to be present, like he was. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own stuff that we overlook the blessings right in front of us!

Those of you who knew Tremel, know he was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Lakers fan.  He loved sports and bonded with many people over them.  He has raised both of his children to be die-hard fans of both teams. Tremel was also a very hard worker, and instilled the “no days off mentality” in Tyrell and Unity; unless of course it was game day and even then at times he would sacrifice the game to go into work and make ends meet. Tremel worked at Sweet Water(GAR) for many years and since his passing I have found that his Sweet Water peers were a second family to him and his children.  Many, many, employees from Sweet Water have reached out to share the memories they had of and/or with Tremel.  I have even had some of his customers reach out to me to share how when Tremel was their server he made you feel like you were the only one in the room!  He shared a lot fun times, laughs and memories with so many people at the Sterling location.

Unfortunately, Tremel did not have insurance set up for his final expenses or to help his children move on to the next chapter in their lives.  Tremel paid for everything in cash.  He would save it up then apply it to where it needed to go. This included his children’s education; they are both attending college and we are in hopes that this “Go Fund Me” will help cover Tremel’s final expenses and help Unity and Tyrell complete this year of school. Losing a parent in life is always difficult and it is even more difficult when you are 18 and 22 and have had the pleasure of growing up with that parent, and already shared so much life with them. They both want to continue their education to continue to make their father proud!  Tremel wanted them to have more than he did, and for them to be able to do more with their lives.  He did not joke around about school! Whatever they each want to do in life, he was fine with, they just needed to see out what they started and to finish it out strong!

The Eskridge family just wants to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We also want to thank all those in advance that choose to donate to this fund.

Thank you,

Tasha Moore and Travis Eskridge (siblings)
