Hi everyone!

I’m Louis Wright, and I’ll be taking on the biggest adventure of my life — trekking to Everest Base Camp.

I’ve always had a love for the mountains. Over the years, I’ve climbed Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis — several times each.

There’s something about standing at the top of a peak, looking out over the world, that fills me with perspective and purpose.

But this next challenge? It’s on another level entirely.

Everest Base Camp will push me further than I’ve ever gone before — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Over 15 days, I’ll trek more than 130+ kilometres through the Himalayas, reaching an altitude of 5,364 metres above sea level.

The terrain will be tough, the air thin, and the journey long — but every step will be driven by something far greater than adventure alone.

Why I’m Doing This?

This trek isn’t just for me — it’s for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that does incredible work supporting young people facing cancer.

Teenagers shouldn’t have to face something as devastating as cancer alone.

The Teenage Cancer Trust provides specialist nurses, emotional support, and age-appropriate care so that every young person gets the help and understanding they deserve during the hardest time of their life.

As I take on this journey, I’ll be thinking of those young people — their courage, their strength, and their determination. Compared to the battles they face every day, climbing a mountain feels small.

My Goal

My goal is to raise £1,600 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Helping teenagers get expert treatment and compassionate care.

Whether it’s £5 or £50, every donation truly makes a difference — and will help motivate me to take one more step when the air gets thin and the path gets steep.
