My late brother, Pamila Paranagama, was a generous soul who always wanted to give back to the people around him. He believed deeply in helping others and supporting those who faced hardships. To carry forward his spirit of kindness, we established the Pamila Paranagama Foundation in 2017.
Since then, the Foundation has been dedicated to providing monthly scholarships to underprivileged students in Sri Lanka. Over the years, we have supported more than 100 students in Galle, giving them the opportunity to continue their education while easing the financial pressure on their parents. Each scholarship reflects my brother’s vision of compassion, generosity, and hope for a brighter future.
This year, on my birthday, I am combining a personal challenge with this meaningful cause. I will be trekking to Manaslu Base Camp in Nepal, and I want to use this journey to expand the Foundation’s impact by supporting even more students.
Why This Matters
• Education is one of the strongest tools to break cycles of poverty.
• Scholarships cover tuition and school support, helping children stay focused on learning.
• Families are relieved from financial pressure, allowing them to better support their children’s futures.
How Funds Will Be Used
• 100% of the money raised will be distributed through the Pamila Paranagama Foundation.
• Funds will go directly toward monthly scholarships for students in Galle.
• Example: AUD 30 - 40 covers one student’s tuition for a month.
Follow My Journey
As I trek to Manaslu Base Camp, I will share updates, photos, and reflections to connect this personal challenge with the cause. Every step I take is dedicated to the students who deserve the chance to dream bigger.
A Note of Gratitude
Your donation, no matter the size, it can make a life changing difference. Together, we can continue my brother’s legacy of generosity and empower the next generation through education and reduce poverty.
Thank you for walking alongside me on this journey.
