Tree-Berry Farm
Donation protected
My father started Tree-Berry farm in 1974 on land owned before him by his father and grandfather. I was 13 when I planted my first Christmas tree and my first Blueberry bush. The farm opened for customers in 1980 (check date!) and since then it has provided a place for many people to go and enjoy. Due to Mother Nature, I have had two bad blueberry seasons in a row, leaving the farm in an untenable position. I need to have extra money to pay expenses through at least July. As farmers always do, I am hoping that the next crop will be better….
Over the last 10 years or so, I have been wrestling with the question of when to let it go. Always what keeps me going are the comments from my customers about how much they love the farm and all the memories it has created for them. I hate to shut down the blueberries or to give it all up without a fight. Fundraising might not work, but then again, it might.
In addition to this Go-Fund-Me page, we’ll be offering further fundraisers over the year. They will be posted on our website “treeberryfarm.com” and on our Facebook page as soon as we finalize them. I need about $20,000 to make it to July. Some things needed: $60 buys-and-plants a new blueberry bush, new drain pipe costs $254 for 250 ft., and a Samurai walk-behind mower costs $4,600. Most of the donations, however, will be going to payroll. I have a great group of employees!
I can’t keep the farm going forever, but I’ll like to buy more time for more families to make more memories
