This is Christine.
She is Chimo Community Services' intrepid Youth Engagement Program Coordinator, and she travels to high schools around Richmond, BC teaching students about relationship violence, suicide, stress management and loads of other important topics.
Christine is very entertaining, and students love her. But you know what helps youth pay attention in class? Treats. And trinkets!
We at Chimo Community Services are hoping to rally the community together so we can provide healthy snacks and thoughtful knickknacks to motivate students.
We're also trying to prioritize family-owned, local vendors led by women, 2SLGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC individuals. These sorts of products usually aren't as cheap as buying from big companies, but that's where you come in!
Your generosity helps us make important learning fun, and we'll share updates with you (and on this page) about the cool stuff that we're able to buy for our youth program participants! Any amount is welcome - thank you for supporting us!
Update - May 1, 2026
It has come to our attention that GoFundMe is listing some extravagantly high amounts for its "suggested" donations for this campaign - please note that we do not control these settings and we do not expect huge donations (though they would be awesome)!
We mean it when we say any amount is welcome, and we also appreciate non-monetary support as well - thank you all!
