Hola todos,

Nosotros somos Humberto y Sofi, y estamos haciendo esta campaña de GoFundMe en nombre de nuestro bebé Dante. Dante nació el mes de abril de 2022 a través de una cesárea luego de un parto difícil y largo. A pesar que nació en perfecto estado, sufrió un paro cardiorrespiratorio pasada las dos horas de nacido (se desconoce la causa) y tuvo que ser resucitado por los médicos. Debido a estar en un estado de ‘muerte clínica’, sus órganos y en especial su cerebro, estuvieron un largo tiempo sin recibir flujo de oxígeno y sangre. Por ello, sufrió un daño cerebral denominado HIE (Encefalopatía Hipóxico-Isquémica). Debido a esto, estuvo recluido en cuidados intensivos por casi dos meses. Y producto de su daño cerebral, actualmente sufre de diversas condiciones médicas y experimenta varios problemas de desarrollo cognitivo, motor, entre otros. Algunas de sus condiciones son: Parálisis Cerebral, clonus, hipertonía, distonía, GERD, disfagia, dependiente de tubo gástrico, entre otras.

Su trastorno neurológico le está afectado primordialmente su movimiento y coordinación muscular. Nuestro pequeño guerrero tiene tan sólo 10 meses de edad, y aunque ya ha recibido tratamientos y procedimientos médicos por todos estos meses, todavía necesita atención especializada que es costosa e inalcanzable para nosotros debido a todos los gastos médicos que hemos incurrido desde su nacimiento lo cuales se siguen acumulando, y ahora necesitamos ayuda para continuar con el tratamiento que tanto necesita.

Hoy en dia, existe una clínica que ofrece terapias innovadoras y efectivas para su parálisis cerebral, pero está ubicada fuera del estado en el cual residimos, y los costos son demasiado elevados para nosotros. Como padres, queremos darle a nuestro bebé la mejor oportunidad de vivir una vida plena y feliz.

Cualquier ayuda que puedas ofrecer sería enormemente apreciada y ayudaría a cubrir los costos del tratamiento, transporte y alojamiento para nuestro bebé y nosotros. Cada pequeña contribución cuenta y nos acerca un poco más al objetivo de verlo mejorar y superar sus limitaciones.

Hello everyone,

We are Humberto and Sofi, and we are creating this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of our baby Dante. Dante was born in April 2022 via cesarean section after a difficult and prolonged delivery. Although he was born in perfect condition, he suffered a cardiac and respiratory arrest after two hours of being born (the cause is unknown) and had to be resuscitated by doctors. Due to being in a state of 'clinical death', his organs and especially his brain were without oxygen and blood flow for a long time. As a result, he suffered a brain injury called HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy). Due to this, he was in intensive care for almost two months. And due to his brain damage, he currently suffers from various medical conditions and experiences several cognitive and motor development problems. Some of his conditions include cerebral palsy, clonus, hypertonia, dystonia, GERD, dysphagia, and dependent on a gastric tube, among others.

His neurological disorder is primarily affecting his movement and muscular coordination. Our little warrior is only 10 months old, and although he has received treatments and medical procedures during these months, he still needs specialized treatment that is costly and unattainable for us due to all the medical expenses we have incurred since his birth, which continue to accumulate. We now need help to continue the treatment that he so desperately requires.

There is a clinic that offers innovative and effective therapies for his cerebral palsy, but it is located outside the state where we reside, and the costs are too high for us. As parents, we want to give Dante the best chance to live a full and happy life.

Any help you can offer would be enormously appreciated and would help cover the costs of treatment, transportation, and accommodation for our baby and us. Every little contribution counts and brings us closer to the goal of seeing him improve and overcome his limitations.
