Carly has been a member of the Dewey's team for over two and a half years. During that time we've all come to know her, love her and respect her. Carly is dedicated to her job at Dewey's- she is always ready to work with a smile on her face and is consistently the leader of the group with her genuine hospitality and commitment to giving our guests an amazing experience. Outside of Dewey's Carly is a 7th Grade Math teacher. She has been there for her students during the difficult season of COVID- many of whom lack access to the tools they need to be successful. Still she has persevered and made every effort to give her students the best care, support and attention. Carly and her, now husband, Edward married in June. A large wedding with friends and family was planned but canceled due to COVID. They settled on a private courthouse union not wanting to wait. On top of the struggles of the year Carly and Edward found out early in the fall that Edward had prostate cancer. After surgery Edward was cancer free and his scans were clear. Unfortunately, they did not stay clear. Edward's cancer came back and has moved in to his abdomen and chemo has been deemed necessary. Edward will begin his cancer treatment in mid-January for 9 weeks. During this time the opportunity for both of them to work will decrease and the bills are going to be in the thousands of dollars. Our hope is to raise enough funds to alleviate this burden for this amazing couple during this difficult time.
