My cat is currently suffering from advanced dental disease and is in a lot of pain.
He has been diagnosed with Stage 3 dental disease, which means his gums are infected and eating has become difficult and painful for him. Without treatment, this will continue to get worse and affect his overall health.
I rescued him 12 years ago when I was just 6 years old, and he has been with me ever since. I’m now 18, so I’ve basically grown up with him. He is the best cat and sleeps next to me every night. He has always been loving, gentle, and a constant in my life.
Recently, I lost my other cat, which has clearly affected him and increased his stress. Seeing him now in pain on top of that has been really hard.
The vet has said he urgently needs dental treatment under anaesthetic, including cleaning, X-rays, blood tests and likely extractions. I have been quoted around £750 just for the initial part of the procedure, and this does not include any additional treatment or extractions he may need, which could increase the total cost.
My dad has not been able to work this year due to health issues, and as I am in Year 13, I am not in a position to earn enough to cover the cost myself.
I’m asking for help to get him out of pain and back to himself again. He’s been there for me my whole childhood, and I just want to be there for him now.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. If you can’t donate, sharing this would really help.
Thank you
