Treatment For Heidi
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Our beloved dog Heidi was recently diagnosed with cancer (Hemangiosarcoma) after the vet noticed a growth on her spleen during a routine visit.
She has had no symptoms of pain and is not ailing in any way other than getting a crappy diagnosis. Dogs with this diagnosis are typically given 2-3 months to live without treatment.
After meeting with an oncologist, we determined that we could potentially extend her life (WITH QUALITY) to 6 months and beyond. I have begun taking her from New York to Vermont once every three weeks for treatment, and she is responding very well to it. Even though the treatment is a form of chemotherapy, Heidi will not lose her hair, her spunk, or her spark to be a dog.
That's where this Gofundme applies. The numbers have been crunched, and the treatment will be at least a few thousands of dollars for the first round of treatments alone. Your contributions will mean the world to Heidi, me, and our whole family.
More about Heidi:
Heidi is 10 (she's had a great run so far!!)
Even though she is a purebred German Shepherd, we got her from a rescue, not from a breeder at the age of 1.
Since I have had her, she's quickly become one of my best friends as well as a mascot for my band Millington, appearing on album covers as well as her bark making it onto songs.
She's got the most boop-able snoot, she's a heckin' chonk, and at the end of the day I just love her a lot and would like some more time together with her.
