Your help is appreciated in funding a life-altering surgery for Curtis Grambo, that will help to alleviate the symptoms of PPMS.

Many of those who know Curtis Grambo know him as the life of the party, fun loving, entertainer that for the better part of 30 years shared his brand of Country Music to bars and stages all across Canada.

Recently after a long, drawn out discovery period, our Dad found out that he was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS). His specialist informed him that this was the worst form of MS to have, with very few treatment options, and no cure yet developed.

This disease has attacked Curtis's legs, making it extremely difficult for him to walk, sit or stand for extended periods of time. It's removed his ability to work, and is essentially stealing his life away at a time where he should be enjoying the years ahead.

Curtis is currently on a series of drug treatments known as (Ocrevus), which in trial was shown to slow the progression of PPMS, and provide some increase to motor function in patients. Click the link to see the benefits this treatment provides. However, this is like duct tape on the cracked hull of a sinking ship. We know it, and so does Curtis.

Through researching other options, there is a surgical treatment that is showing promising results in it's patients. Offered by the Clinic of the Heart in Cozumel, Mexico, their CCSVI (Chronic Cerebro-Spinal Venous Insufficiency) treatment has been showing incredible results in patients with PPMS. Improving their range of movement significantly.

Obviously videos can be doctored, and overblown, so Dad's been doing his own brand of research and contacting people in Canada who have the same diagnosis as him and have gone to get this surgery.

A woman in Manitoba received this treatment 9 years ago and now lives symptom free, and is off medication.

A man in Manitoba also went from being bound to a wheel chair to golfing in a month and is still doing great.

My dad is one that prefers to do things on his own, but he's been out of work since March of 2019. That's 18 months trying to survive with limited mobility, and no income. At this point he is out of options and he needs a hand. The $20,000.00 we are looking to raise is to cover the cost of this procedure which is $10,000 US and provide a little bit of reprieve from bills that are accumulating.

As a new Grandpa, it's important to us, and important to him that he can get the most out of life, get back to work singing on stage, or even if this procedure works beyond expectations, back to his job out in Alberta keeping our Rigger's safe.

Any proceeds raised from this GoFundMe will go directly to Curtis, and a portion of those raised over the goal will be donated back to Multiple Sclerosis Research in Canada.
