Hi everyone,
I have made this fundraiser on behalf of one of my closest friends, Alexis Oldham. She is a great friend, a poet, and a hard worker. If you know Alexis, you know she has struggled with an eating disorder for most of her life. We watched her thrive after treatment last year and now the anxiety and depression that came along with COVID-19 has sent her spiraling. She has been in and out of the hospital these past couple months with heart rates as low as the 30s and her weight at the lowest it’s been in years. She spent Christmas Eve and Christmas at Bryan West where they told her if her health continues this way, she may not live more than a few weeks.
A treatment center has finally reached out and agreed to take Alexis as soon as this week, but they would charge her $8,000 up front.
