Fighting Multiple Myeloma
Donation protected
We are Tori Wood and Traci Sousa, daughters of Larry Wood. A few months ago our Dad, Larry Wood, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a non-curable blood and bone cancer which has settled in his back, hips and pelvis. We have been looking for ways to help our family but there is only so much we can do. We can't fight this battle for him, but we can help ease the financial burden that this fight is placing on our Dad and Mom. He is currently being treated at the Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY, which is over 4 hours from their home in Upstate, NY. Due to the effects of the cancer and traveling for treatments, he has not been able to work for nearly 6 months and we are currently unsure if or when he will be able to go back. Medical, lodging, gas, and food expenses are piling up quickly and will continue to do so with his upcoming 4-6 week in-patient stem cell treatment. Any help that you can find in your heart to provide would be appreciated beyond measure! Larry is a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and US Navy veteran who we would very much like to stay with us for as long as he possibly can!
