My name is Kelly Gordon and my husband Craige was born and raised in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. My cousin Callen and his late sister Carly grew up visiting the island many times, building lifelong friendships with the locals and later shared his deep love for Jamaica with his wife Julia.

Living in Thunder Bay, Canada we are doing our best to help from afar. Treasure Beach, Jamaica was severely devastated by Hurricane Melissa on October 29, 2025, and we are humbly asking for your support.

The people of Treasure Beach enjoyed a simple way of life. Their beautiful beaches, stunning views and peaceful seclusion have been deeply affected by the hurricane's destruction. Many are left without food, clean water and power and these conditions may last for quite some time. The community of Treasure Beach relied heavily on tourism, fishing and farming to make a living. The storm has flooded their crop fields and roads, washing away livelihoods and isolating parts of the community.

When we visited Treasure Beach, the people are what made our experience memorable, we were always humbled by the kindness, love and culture shown by everyone in the small fisherman' village. The people have so much less than many of us, yet they give with their whole hearts, making sure we felt like we had everything we needed during our stays. They've taught us what true love, compassion and community really means.

We are looking to help support their rebuilding. No matter how big or small anything would make a true difference. Because after all, what is life about if we cannot help out each other.
