Hi. My name is Katrina Woodcox and I am writing on behalf of Tre's family. Tre is part of my extended family; he is my nephew on my husband's side of the family. Tragically, Tre was shot and killed yesterday at 5:30 pm in Chico, CA. He was BBQ-ing in the front yard. Chico PD is still investigating the incident, so we don't have much more information yet. Tres was just 26-years old, had a loving family, a beautiful girlfriend and the best dog ever, Nala. The family needs support. Specifically, help with funeral expenses. Of course, because he was so young, no plans had been made. Tre had a big heart, always had a smile on his beautiful face, and loved good food: cooking and eating it. He had been working at Kathy's Deli for the past several years and loved his job and his work family. There's really not much more to say. Something terrible happened, and a young man's life was taken. His mom, dad, siblings and loved ones are devastated and don't know how to move forward. Tre's mom, Reese Howell, will use these funds to pay for cremation, funeral expenses, outstanding bills (cell phone, credit card, etc.), and hopefully, set up a scholarship of some kind with the Boys and Girls Club.
