Tiffin Mats customers stuck waiting for orders/refunds Hello, my name is Julie. I am the Holyoke High School Varsity Cheerleading Coach. The Holyoke Cheerleaders work hard supporting their fellow student-athletes at all of their games. They are the spirit of the school. They help the youth of Holyoke learn cheerleading and are exceptional role models for them. They volunteer at soup kitchens and Legions. They fundraise for things that they need because the school can not afford to pay for the expenses. Years have been spent fundraising for one thing that many cheerleaders who have come through the program have wanted - purple cheerleading mats. Their current mats are over 10 years old and are not providing the safety that is required to do the elite skills that they are performing daily. Earlier this year, they were finally able to raise enough money ($5,000) to purchase new mats. I placed an order with Tiffin Mats in May. They cashed our check immediately and told me that the mats would be delivered in 8-10 weeks. The end of August (the beginning of the season) arrived and there were still no mats. Countless calls and emails to the company yielded no answers as to when we would get our money back. I was yelled at and made to feel like this was my fault for not calling all summer to check on the mats. October 6th I cancelled our order when we still didn't have mats. I was told that it would be 30 days before they could issue us a refund. 30 days came and went and there is still no refund. A call to the company resulted in them telling me that they didn't have the money to issue us a refund in one lump sum. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General, and have gotten our school department involved. I've reached out to the news station in Maryland and they did a piece on Tiffin which included another person who Tiffin has stolen from ($6,000). Tiffin tried to pay him back $250 per week and those checks bounced! I was also contacted by a gym owner in Canada that is owed 44K from Tiffin. It's been 7 months since we placed our order and we still have no product and no money to use to purchase new mats. We host a very large competition in February for all of the Western Mass cheerleading teams and we desperately need these mats before then. Please consider donating to help these athletes (re)raise the money to purchase new mats. Thank you in advance for your support.
