Travis' Wrist Surgery

Over the past four months, our friend Travis Newton (or WT Newton) silently dealt with pain in his wrists. As a man who works with his hands in his job and also as a musician, the use of his wrists and hands is vital. After seeking medical attention, he was diagnosed with severe chronic tendonitis, exacerbated by working through the pain for an extended period of time, which has rendered his left hand almost completely useless without corrective surgery. Acute carpal tunnel was also found in both hands which requires surgery, nodules grown on all of his tendons, and severe nerve damage due to ignoring it for so long. Travis' left hand must be operated on before he can use it again to work, and his job has stripped his insurance benefits, leaving him battling the healthcare system alone without ground to stand on. 
In the meantime, Travis has been paying for physical therapy and clinic visits out of pocket, which has grown to over $5,000 in expenses and medications.
Surgery is needed to fix one hand, let it heal, and then repeat the process with the other. He has been told that the feeling may never fully return, but surgery would make his hands usable again. Travis' employer refuses to let him return to work until his hands are fixed, and attempts to find alternative employment have been fruitless with only limited use of his hands. 

Travis has always been the kind of friend who will help any and everyone any way he can. I know he and Shawna have probably opened up their home to all of us at one point or another, offered hugs and love and music for us.
