Travis Vance Amputation Emergency

Hello, my name is Gloria Katz, I am Travis's sister in law. Unfortunately a medical emergency has hit the Vance Family again. As many of you have known Travis has been battling numerous infections in his already amputated foot. He was rushed in by ambulance on Sunday with a fever and all over body ache and severe pain in his partial foot. The doctors quickly got him back at the ER and the diagnosis was devastating, indeed the infection had gotten worse. The doctor said there was no way to treat with aggressive antibiotics and Unfortunately the remainder of his leg below the knee will need to be amputated asap. The infection had already gotten too far into the shin bone. We were lost for words, and to see my brother in- law a man I look up to and pretty much one of best-friends just go pale and asking the doctor to please save his leg absolutely broke my heart. To hear the doctor say "I'm sorry Mr. Vance there is no saving your leg was one of the worst things to ever hear. Friday August 27th he will go into surgery to amputate right below the knee. Anyone that knows Travis, knows this is going to affect him so very much. He is an active guy and always working for his family regardless of an infection or pain, he just keeps going. He recently became the President of Bears Grid kids and coaching again. He was so happy for a tiny bit of normalcy. It was great to see him smiling and coaching the little guys a sport he truly loves, Football. The last couple of day's he has missed practice and it's killing him inside and feels like he has let down his team before the season has even started. The next couple of months is going to be very hard on him as he's the sole provider for his family. If you can find it in your heart to please help The Vance Family get thru this awful situation by lessening the financial burden this medical emergency will have on them, I greatly appreciate it.
