Travis’ Surprise Therapy Session

Hi everyone.  As you may or may not know our oldest son, Travis, had open heart surgery on June 9th. While we knew this was inevitable, we had hoped for a smooth and timely recovery. Unfortunately, between the pandemic and some unforeseen medical issues, Travis was not so lucky. On the recovery front.  Travis has since had two more operations including another open heart procedure.   The physical recovery is grueling enough but Travis has had to do this in the social distancing era which means not being able to see friends too.

The last two unplanned procedures took a mental and emotional toll on Travis and we are hoping to make it up to him with a surprise experience. Travis loves him some history and video games so we have found a place that combines those two aspects in a very unique way. In Uvalde, Tx there is a ranch where you can drive and fire actual tanks among other things(link below)!  This will be a great way for Travis to let off steam and have a positive memory to last a lifetime!  We are hoping to take Travis (Probably in October) and a friend to the ranch, stay in the “baracks” and let Travis drive/fire one of the tanks! We would greatly appreciate donations of any size and are extremely grateful for all of the prayers and support we have already received!
