Travis Shaw’s Memorial Fund:
We are Marianne and Darin Reid, Aunt and Uncle, to our beloved nephew, Travis Shaw, and we are asking for your help.
The memorial service for Travis is Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Evans Brown Mortuary in Sun City, California.
If you were lucky enough to know him, you know there are no words to describe the wonderful loving and kind spirit of Travis. We still can’t believe it’s real, and we may never be able to accept that he was taken so young. On August 14, 2020, the unthinkable happened: Our family -- and if you knew him, your family too -- lost one of the most incredible, legendary, over the top, lovable, loyal, kind and full of life people you could ever imagine. He was an amazing human being that loved life to the fullest and each and every one of us.
Travis loved all of us and did everything he could to show it. Sadly, at the tender age of 21, he was suddenly forced to became the man of the family and the foundation and glue that held his Mom, Sister, and Brother together when their Dad passed away in 2004. He stepped up, loved, laughed and healed the family he adored. Travis was only 37 years old with a bright future ahead of him. He was starting a new job, and his life was shifting.
He unexpectedly and tragically passed away at his mother's house before he was able to start the new job that would have provided insurance and stability for him, Shauna, and the kids.
Travis wasn't prepared for his death and there is no insurance or safety net for his family and they need your help.
The entire family is devastated, along with countless friends and fans. Travis Shaw wasn't just an amazing human being to his beloved family-- his Mother, Laurie; his Sister Kensey and Brother Kevin, Kevin’s fiancée Kaitlin and their beautiful girls, Kassidy and Kaidence; his girlfriend of 10 years, Shauna, along with four beautiful children that he loved and adored as if they were his own. He was a proud, engaged, incredible father to Logan Woods, Zayne Clark, Trinity Clark, and Maddox Clark. All of us are devastated by this, his Aunts and Uncles, Uncle Lou, Aunt Sandra, Uncle Mike, Uncle David, Aunt Marianne, and Uncle Darin; cousins that considered him a brother; both of his Grandmothers, Jeanette Troiano and Jan Ruggiero and hundreds, among hundreds, of loving, loyal friends.
Travis loved being the lead singer of the greatest Pantera cover band “101 Proof” where he made music and memories for all of us and shared his passion for the music, Dime Bag, and each and every one of his friends and loyal fans.
I can still hear him saying, "It's a great day to be alive, Aunt Mary" when we all were at Lake Mead the week of July 4, 2020. Who could have ever imagined he would be lost to us a month and a half later.
We are requesting a donation of any size to help with his funeral and household expenses while everyone tries to accept that he is gone and adjust to life without Travis.
Thank you for anything you can give to help his family -- any amount will be greatly appreciated.
