Travis’ Second Battle with Leukemia and Lymphoma
Donation protected
Travis is only 38 years old and facing his second battle against leukemia and lymphoma. He was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 2014 and underwent chemotherapy in 2016. He remained in remission until a year ago, when his cancer recurred only a few weeks after he married his bride, Hannah. Biopsies have shown that the recurrence is a higher grade of leukemia and he also has lymphoma as well.
Travis is working with his treatment team to decide the best course of therapy which may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or a bone marrow transplant. Whichever treatment path is chosen, Travis will face a prolonged course of therapy where he will not be able to work. His wife Hannah is a massage therapist but will have to reduce her workload to help care for Travis. While most of the medical care is covered by insurance, they will still face significant out-of-pocket expenses.
Travis has been a competitive cheer coach for the last 15 years and has devoted his time to helping young athletes maximize their skills and grow into responsible young adults. He and Hannah have three sweet dogs at home to keep them company. Lucy is a Labrador mix and provides emotional support, . Hope is a Dalmatian and our designated snuggle buddy, and Zero is a large German shepherd who provides comic relief for everyone. Your donation will go toward medical expenses and living expenses until Travis is healthy and able to get back to work again.
