Hello,
My name is Travis Rivera. I am the founder of Travis Rivera Studios, a private vocal-training studio located in Long Island, New York. Since the conception of the studio, our focus has been on helping vocalists develop their voice in holistic ways. We’ve prioritized the well-being of the student first—believing that if a student maintains a healthy sense of self-esteem they can be, do or have anything.
When the pandemic first happened, I had a strong urge to offer free online community classes to bring students together. I wanted to offer a safe-space where they could still remain connected to the art of music. Through Zoom and other video conference platforms students are able to take individual lessons, participate in group workshops as well as online concerts. In the midst of this storm, it has been fulfilling to be a lighthouse to guide them to a place of refuge.
The monthly cost of overhead expenses is roughly $2,700— all of which reliably keeps our the business afloat. As a result of COVID-19, our business is still functioning but only at a fraction of its normal operation. This is where you come in.
I am reaching out to our students, families and supporters in hopes to raise $2,700 by July 31st, 2020. The money raised is going to help our studio maintain its growth and offer students online classes during this time of isolation. With your help you will provide our students the opportunity to continue studying music.
The monthly expense for our online presence alone is upward of $250. With your support you will provide our studio with the means necessary to build a stronger and more up-to-date online platform. In order to do so, we need more equipment like cameras, lighting and microphones to better our services. I’m sure you are aware of how integral video and sound quality are for online communication and education.
Travis Rivera Studios is a place of cultural, spiritual and musical diversity. My personal vision is to have a studio that reflects the world around us, that brings all of us together under the light of music. I'd like you to think about a moment in your life where music may have “saved you.” Think of how magically it serves special celebrations like a wedding or graduation. Maybe it’s how you start or end your day. Whatever the case is, it’s hard to say there isn’t a person who hasn’t been touched by music. If ever there was a time where we needed songwriters, prophets and poets it’s now.
With your generosity we would be able to continue to provide a place for artists to come and learn, so that they may continue to share their gifts with a world who needs a glimmer of hope in challenging times. Trust me these guys are extremely talented and true musicians at their core.
I invite to check out our Instagram page @Iamtravisrivera to see what we are offering.
Please take a moment now to consider the tremendous impact music has on the world around us and see this as an opportunity to pour back into artists who are looking to grow. Any donation will be appreciated. If you are unable to make a contribution, I ask that you pass this on to anyone who may be interested. Thank you for your time and consideration.
