On March 7th at approximately 1am, after a long day of grooming dogs in Monterey county, Travis was involved in a major hit and run accident. Travis was traveling east bound on highway 137 in Lindsey California, only 10 min from home ! While traveling east bound he noticed an oncoming motorcyclist (west bound) swerving from lane to lane. Travis began to honk the horn, and move the E.450 mobile grooming unit more to the shoulder, when he felt the front passenger tire start to slide in water and mud runoff from the farm fields on the road. Travis corrected the vehicle back onto the road, to hit more runoff to shoot him across the westbound lane into a transformer power pole at approximately 55MPH. The motorcyclist, and vehicle behind the motorcycle took off, and left Travis in the middle of a field, in the dark with active power lines draped over the vehicle. Thankfully there was a nearby farm homme, with a woman that had just gotten off work at a nearby dairy, that heard the entire thing, and came out to help. Travis sustained a broken wrist, trauma to the neck and spine, and the force of the airbag threw his heart into a tacacardic rhythm. It has taken hours upon hours, and drug after drug, to finally get him some what stable and more comfortable. Not only is Travis left with the hardship of medical expenses, but his only source of income (the mobile grooming unit) has been totaled. Please help Travis, his fiancé Lynsey, and their daughter Macey get back on their feet.
