Travis Festog Memorial

Donation protected

On the morning of September 15th, Travis Henry Festog passed away unexpectedly. Just a few months after his late father, James Festog, also passed. Travis and Jim were two peas in a pod; Big Jim was always followed by Big T! Trav even chose to continue his father's legacy as a wood floor specialist and was known for their dedication to keeping the family business alive. The combined loss of both father and son has devastated the family.

I was fortunate enough to call Travis, my friend for over 20 years. As is probably the case with many of you reading this, I also became a family friend of Deborah, Jim, Jamie, Amber and Ian. They are a proud and selfless group that I know won’t ask themselves, so I started this because it's the only thing I could do to help Travis and his family. Since it has been tough on them financially, they indeed showed me what family should be, the good, the bad and the ugly. And accepted all of us and made us feel like we were part of their family.

A truly selfless man, Travis was the type of person that would do anything for a friend. If there was any way he could help, without expecting anything back. Whether it was just letting you call him to get something off your chest, giving you a ride, or letting you borrow his last few bucks, he literally would give you the shirt off his back. Along with being an amazing friend, sibling and son, he was the best “ Aunty Travie ” and will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews. He would go above and beyond for Shae, Autumn, Aary, Ethan and Zachary.

At only 34 years old, another life was taken way too soon. Losing a family member at such a young age is a pain no family should ever endure. Unfortunately, a feeling that too many families on Cape Cod have had to deal with. Along with that pain, Travis’ family has the added stress of the financial burden that comes with an unimaginable loss. I am asking for your help, a donation of any amount, no matter how small, to ease the implausible stress of making sure that Travis can have the service he deserves.

All funds raised will be given directly to Travis's mother, Deborah Festog, for anything pertaining to the loss of her child. I will continuously update this page with all information about his services. The family has permitted me to do this fundraiser and is in the process of planning it all now. Much of this will depend on how much we can all help, and I am confident that the support from all of us will make this a little easier on a family going through the worst part of their lives. This will also help us all get together to celebrate the life of Travis, share stories, and laugh and cry together. If you can donate, please feel free to share a story or memory of Travis and the joy he brought into your life. Thank you.
