Hello, I am Travis's wife, Brittney. We have been together for 17 years and were married in March of 2024. As some of you know, Travis was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma terminal brain tumor in July of 2024. Since being diagnosed, he has undergone two major surgeries. He started a clinical trial in Boston, MA at Dana Farber with hopes it would help slow the growth of the tumor. Unfortunately, the trial did not work in stopping the tumor from returning in March of 2025. The results caused him to be removed from the trial. Travis then decided to take some time to figure out his next steps and enjoy some time at home.
In June of 2025, his headaches returned and the tumor was back to the full size it was the previous year. He underwent a second surgery at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, in which we stayed for the month of June. He was eligible for a new trial that would require him to be in Texas for the months of August and October. The first month went well and brought hope. Upon return for the month of October, the follow-up MRI on September 29th showed the tumor was back to full size yet again with increased swelling. With the tumor back with a vengeance, we are not sure what the next steps are. We were hopeful Texas was the answer. The journey to keep Travis here with us has been nothing short of overwhelming. We are beyond blessed with the emotional support and help with home tasks from so many.
Traveling for treatment has added to the already immense financial burden. We have exhausted most resources and continue the search for more to help keep Travis here with us.
