Travis Campbell is a lifelong friend and has suffered for 15 years with Trigeminal Neuralgia resulting from surgery that damaged one of his cranial nerves.

Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the fifth cranial nerve.  The Trigeminal nerve, carries sensation from your face to your brain.  Mild stimulation of your face — such as from brushing your teeth— will trigger a jolt of excruciating pain.

Travis has tried almost every treatment available to manage this condition; however, most treatments involve heavy doses of opioids and do not effectively manage the pain. 

This debilitating nerve damage has taken over Travis' life and put him on medical disability for the last 5 years. 

I believe there may be some help for this condition via Ketamine transfusions.  My brother Tim Osbon established a Ketamine clinic in Greenville, SC in 2020 and I would like to help Travis afford this treatment.

Ketamine works on the N-Methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, which is stimulated by the glutamante neurotrasmitter.  Blocking this NMDA receptor may play a role in relieving acute and chronic pain syndromes. 

In neuropathic pain, ketamine seems to reset the hyper-sensitized pain receptors within the central nervous system.

This treatment has not been tried by Travis and it may provide some relief and help get his life back. 

Ketamine infusions are not inexpensive and they are currently not covered by insurance. 

Ketamine infusion therapy involves the administration of a single infusion or a series of infusions.   A series of 10 infusions would typically cost $5,000.

I am putting this campaign together to raise the $5,000 for Travis and pray that this may provide relief from this chronic pain that has plagued him for 15 years.
