Goal reached!!!
Can't thank you all enough for your kindness and help.

Stopping in to give a Huge Thank You to all who have helped so far! We are almost there because of you. Also to share a sweet photo of our happy Travis!

Second pupdate!
We are only 310 dollars away from our goal, and Travis would like to wish all of his angels a very happy tongue out Tuesday. This happy go lucky boy is blessed to have so much support on his side. He is scheduled for a spa day this September, 10 days after his procedure, and we are excited for some great news. Mr. Barker never misses his spa days and we are hopeful he won't miss this one either. Thank you SO much for your support.

Update! Thanks to all who have donated we are more than halfway there!!! You're angels.

Travis is scheduled for his procedure September 17th and I think we can make that deadline!
A little positive info on these types of tumors and a link below for those who would like to learn more:
Generally, if a mast cell tumor is at a location that allows surgical removal with fairly wide (approximately one inch) normal tissue borders (“margins”), surgery is performed. A sample is submitted to a pathologist to determine the tumor grade and whether the surgical margins are free of cancer cells.
If the margins are free of cancer and the tumor is not high grade, no further treatment is generally necessary other than active surveillance. This includes a recheck examination every three months for one and a half years after surgery.

Hello, my name is Leighanne and I am starting this fundraiser to help a very close friend and client Tammy (and family) keep her sweet furry family member well.
Unfortunately Travis needs a procedure to remove a growth that is suspected to be a mast cell tumor. Mast cell tumors are the most common type of skin cancer in dogs affecting many breeds, but which can also affect ANY breed.
Travis is young, bright, and loving. This boy has not a mean bone in his body and is loved SO very much by his family. He deserves the chance to live many more happy and healthy years with a proper diagnosis.
Unfortunately many of us have been where his family is, just making ends meet, and so we ask for your help. Any amount you can donate is truly appreciated. Thank you.
