Travis’ 2023 NYC Marathon with BBBS NYC

I’m thrilled to announce that I will be running the 2023 New York City Marathon for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.

I have been running long distance ever since junior high school. In so many ways, it is my therapy. Running is what I turn to when I’m excited, what I need to do when I’m sad, and such an integral part of my life; I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it.

Over the past year I have run 4 half marathons. Each one has been a new adventure, attempting to beat my PR and light a fire in my soul. During the Brooklyn Fall Half I placed 2nd with a 1:24 finish time. Even races that I fall short of my goals have been an opportunity to grow and help me find a power inside of myself that we all so often hide.

I have dreamed of running the NYC Marathon for years, I’m so lucky to be joining an amazing organization that does so much for the youth of the city I love.

Brothers Big Sisters of New York City (BBBS of NYC) is the nation’s first and the city's largest youth mentoring organization. I have had the privilege of attending several fundraising events this past year and am looking forward to raising money to continue to support BBBS mentoring across all five boroughs.
