Traveling to Amman
Many of you have been following along with the story and progress of If Not For Love. We've been growing, expanding, sweating (from packing sweaters?) and now we have more exciting news!
Monday, March 27th (YES! JUST DAYS AWAY!) myself and friend Tiarra will be adventuring into the Middle East to deliver hundreds of sweaters in bags to refugees. Every step of this journey has been a complete miracle. There has barely been a day where I haven't been amazed by the way things have fallen into place. And barely a day where something hasn't evolved or changed. Hence this last minute campaign!
Here we go...
Our tickets are paid for due to some incredibly generous friends. And we just have a few more needs! We've had some last minute changes, as well as some last minute lightbulbs that have upped our expenses, examples being changing all of our hotel reservations. One change was for safety, and the next was to be stay with the team we're meeting up with to travel into the refugee settlements.
We want to make sure we're completely covered and prepared for what we've planned, but also for anything that might pop up as we're in a country we've never traveled to. We've received some great tips and advice from friends in the last couple days, who have traveled there, which is why we're doing this now!
$800 would fully cover all our hotel expenses as well as the cost of translators/drivers/guides for all the days we're there. The reason for the addition of translators and drivers is to make sure that we're not alone as two females in a foreign land. We'll have a trusted male guides recommended by friends who have traveled with them before.
If more than $800 dollars come in, the money will go towards any additional trip costs, and then back into If Not For Love! I'll post constant updates of where these dollars went or where they will go so you can feel like you're with us.
