Traveling out to help Emi's Parents

Hey guys, we know this is probably not something you'd expect from us, but some serious things have come up with Emi's family and we need to go out there so we can take care of them. Because this is happening in December, which is the most important month for our job, we're going to have to bring work out there.  If we were to take any sort of leave without working on the channels, it could be devistating to them. Had these issues occurred in any other month, things wouldn't be so difficult. This is also to mention, we don't feel good about asking for funds, but we're kind of in a tight place.

While we could disesemble our PCs  and take them out there, there are just huge risks to taking our entire lively hoods outside of the home. Not to mention, there just wouldn't be enough space in their house to hold what we need. So our solution was to purchase two higher end laptops that can keep up with the performance we need for work. This is something we tried a couple years ago when we went out there, but the laptops we had purchased became incredibly laggy and almost unuseable for the work we needed to get done. They didn't last us long at all. That said, we'd really like to invest in something we can rely on and for something that allows us to go out there on more short notice, especially in cases like family emergencies.

Currently, and though it's embarassing to admit, we do not live in a place of our own yet. We've been doing our best to save and to stabalize ourselves so when we do leave, we are absolutely safe and don't risk ending up in the streets. That being said, the end of the year is absolutely crucial to make sure we're still working and putting out content. It makes the difference between moving out sooner or waiting a year or more. Where we live now, we've completely run out of room. Our studio is mixed with our bedroom, and due to other people living here and sound issues on their part, we only have about 3 days in the week that we can get critical work done (like recording, etc.) without worry of interuptions of any sort. So hopefully this helps explain why it's so important that we can still work even though we're away for something serious.

Now, getting into that, Emi's mom, who lives out of state, had contacted her recently that her Grandfather's health was declining more and more. He suffers from lung cancer, alzheimer's, and dementia. He lives with both of her parents, who themselves have health issues to worry about as well. Her mom does not work and is his fulltime care giver. She just recently sprained her ankle almost to the point of breaking, and also threw out her back, making caring for him extremely difficult especally because she needs to tend to his cathert multiple times a day. Even more so, her dad now requires surgery for his shoulder due early December. The surgery he'll be getting will keep him bedridden and thus her mom will have to care for him as well. Not only this, but she babysits Emi's sister's daughter during the weekdays, meaning with all that's going on, she can't possible do all of this herself, so as a last resort she's asked Emi and I if we can come out to help.

What they need from us the most is time, and because of this time of year, that is very difficult to give a lot of. If we are able to get laptops that can carry our workload, not only will we feel more safe for our job, but we'll also be able to give Emi's family the help they need, and this is something that is really important to her, something she'd be willing to drop anything for, but realisticaly, is something we can't just do comfortably and without concerns.

This year we've made a lot of progress towards moving along our lives, but this issue could push us further in, just when we were about to make the leap. So honestly, any help we can get, any help at all is something huge for us, and we're extremely grateful. Thank you so much for reading this far, and thank you so much to anyone who wants to help us out. We're really sorry we have to ask for something like this, but we promise we wouldn't if it wasn't something this serious.
