Hello All!
My name is Bryant Covington, a sophomore aspiring to be one of the best Volleyball players ever! My dreams are to play as well as the players from the Japanese and USA Olympic teams who I first watched in 2019. My transition to Hartley as a freshman & playing volleyball helped me refocus academically and socially. A slow process but I began to see that I LOVE me and want to excel academically, athletically, and socially. I wanted to be competitive in class and on the court!
I spent my free time in the last 7 months focusing on me and being GREAT! I finished freshman man year on a positive note with a 3.1 gpa and with a mindset of doing better! I worked on my physical abilities but they did not connect at first. So I spent the summer honing my craft; training 40 minutes away any time my mom could make it happen. That work finally paid off and I was noticed for the potential I knew I have!
I tried out for Club Volleyball and was given a contract to play with one of the most competitive Boys Volleyball teams in Ohio, Vanguard. (Vangaurd Website: http://www.vanguardvolleyball.net/organizations/3619/contact_page). This is an invaluable opportunity that comes at a great expense. What I will learn & experience playing with Vanguard will allow me to compete at the next level. I humbly reach out to you for support! Please, aid
Your financial support will help with the clubs steep travel fees. We will practice two times a week and play in tournaments between this Fall and July 2023. With your help, if I can reach my financial goal by November 1, 2022, I know I can reach my goal to compete on a team that saw potential in me to compete against the 16 year olds around Ohio and across the U.S. This is a new world to me and I am excited.
Thank you All!
