Travel to overseas competitions

Hi, my name is Jaimie and I am a Para Powerlifter.

I came to the sport of Para Powerlifting over 12 years ago.

Through dedication and lots of hard work I am now fortunate enough to be selected to represent Australia in the World Para Powerlifting Championships to be held in Egypt in October, 2025 along with 14 other athletes.

I am in the 65kg division.

To be classified as a Para Athlete you have to meet certain classifications which I have done by surviving a malignant brain tumour at age 7 which left me with right sided ataxia along with hearing loss and some neurological impairment.

Because of this I am on a Disability Support Pension.

There is some fumding available for this trip but I have to contribute a large amount.

To meet the criteria to complete my dream of competing in the Olympics I have to compete overseas at least twice more, including the Commonwealth Games in Scotland in 2026.

I am hoping that through your generosity you can support me with any amount to fulfil my dream and to show all kids with cancer that they can be the best that they can be.
