Hi it's Flee!

Many of you know me as a Circus coach, former swinging trapeze artist, sometime presenter, mentor and many other things!

I've worked in the Circus industry for the last 28 years, coaching many, many students and touring for 16 years while I was performer. I trained swinging and flying trapeze in Australia and Montreal, and was lucky to perform swinging trapeze in many different places with companies such as Circus Oz, La Clique, Boswell Wilkie Circus, Circa Nica and at many events and festivals.

I love this art form, and it brings joy to my heart. It never ceases to bring joy and wonder to the audiences as well.

I've been invited to attend the Oscillante festival, in Turin, Italy from the 20th to 29th June this year and I'm fundraising for the travel costs for flights.

This is a unique festival dedicated to swinging acts, the only one of it's kind.

This trip would be an invaluable experience for my own personal development as a coach networking with other coaches and artists. I'll be attending workshops, rehearsals and sharing techniques and experience.

This act takes a huge effort to train and maintain, and over the years I've put in a lot of blood sweat and tears holding a space for myself and my students to train develop and present swinging acts.

I've worked with performers to prep for performances in companies such as Circus Oz, Circa, No Fit State Circus, Insect Circus, Les Arts Saults, Cruise ships.... the list goes on....

I've been teaching swinging trapeze and flying trapeze here in Australia since 1998 (crikey!), and over time that experience has varied from teaching on a rig in my back yard, putting on small flying shows, working at circus festivals, teaching every Friday and Sunday night for 10 or more years (what social life??), teaching at NICA and at Oz, also maintaining a private space for swinging training and presenting Fringe venues that can accomodate swinging...... it's epic just to keep this act alive!

My fundraising initially is to get myself to the festival- and if we are able to raise enough for both flights, then to include my recently graduated NICA student Jasmin Tait to present her swinging trapeze act at the festival. It would be incredible for her to share this experience.

$ 800 Travel insurance

$ 500 Ground transportation

Total- $5000

A little bit from a lot of people can go a really long way, the cost of a cuppa or a meal will really help us out, so please help us get to Italy!!
