Qualified for Jr. Pan Am Championships

Hi. I’m Isabella Rodriguez. I’m 19, and one of twin daughters to my parents who are both Army veterans. I’m a freshman in college, I live in Dacula, GA, and I am a junior 49k weight class weightlifter.

In early March I won 3 gold medals in Olympic Weightlifting at the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. I qualified for the next level, and as a member of USA Weightlifting, I’ve been invited to compete at the Jr. Pan American Championships this May, in Manizales, Colombia. I’m currently ranked 2nd in the nation, and I’m really motivated to continue improving.

I’ve always been an athlete, but I began Olympic weightlifting 18 months ago. I love the sport and the challenge it provides. Since I’ve joined my coach, Spencer Arnold, and his gym, Power and Grace Performance, I’ve grown a lot, as an athlete and as a person. Our gym bought home a silver medal from the 2020 Japan Olympics. I’m learning from the best and I know great things are coming.

At this time my coach and I are “self-funded” for the Junior Pan Am Championship. I am asking those who’d be interested in supporting us to please make a donation. We need funds to cover airfare, accommodations, meals, equipment, etc. Any and every gift is greatly appreciated. This is an incredible opportunity and I’d love to bring home more medals for USA Weightlifting. My ultimate goal is to be able to represent Team USA at the Olympics one day. I know I can do it!
