Hi, my name is Tammy moosewah, I am the daughter of alitha Moosewah who is 62 years old turning 63 this September, who was a happy healthy mom of 7 kids and a grandmother to 20 grand kids and 1 great, soon to be 21 grand and 2 great grand children, she enjoys all her grand babies and spending time with them and watching them grow, but as of lately my mom wasn't feeling the greatest, and on the 27th of July our lives changed and my mom had started to what we thought was a stroke and we had to have her taken to the hospital by ambulance, but as we arrived and testing was started they soon discovered it was actually focal seizures she was having, they then decided to do a ct scan of her brain, to rule out any damage, to then discover she had a low grade glioma in her brain, as well as a puss pocket of infection in her brain, they then wanted to do a ct of her abdomen, pelvic, and chest because they were concerned it could possibly be the spread of cancer, we then discovered a mass on her lungs, we couldn't handle any more bad news at this point but they wanted to send her to edmonton to the grey nuns for an mri on her brain so we were sent by plane and had that completed, with the results of that they were worried the mass in her lungs was what started the spread of her cancer to her brain, we prayed and hoped that it wasn't, and as we waited for the results of that they then wanted her to go to the royal alex hospital in edmonton for a Bronchoscopy of her lungs, and we then recieved the most horrible news of what we feared the most, my mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, a very aggressive lung cancer that has no cure, that is in a late stage that has traveled to her brain, but it can be treated with chemo and radiation to slow the progression down and hopefully give my mom and my kids and all her other children and grandchildren more time with her so she can watch them grow longer and love them and be loved by them for a longer amount of time, but with all the treatments and such is alot of time away from home and hotels and gas, its going to be costly, and we dont usually ask for help, but this time we really need it, anything at all would help even a share, so please keep us in your prayers and pray my mom can get more time with us, thank you for taking the time to read our story and hopefully we can help raise her some money to get to and from her treatments and stays when she has early appointments away from home
