Hi, I’m Michael Saunders, and my cousins, Brenda Rich and Laura Pasteen, (maybe one more!) We are proud Innu Deaf people (3-4) from Labrador, and we use sign language to communicate.

We are raising funds to attend the National Indigenous Deaf Cultural Gathering (NIDCG) in Maskwacis, Alberta, from May 16–19, 2025. This is a rare chance for us to connect with other Indigenous Deaf people, celebrate our cultures, and learn in a fully accessible space with sign languages.

This gathering includes cultural workshops, healing activities, ceremonies, and more. We need help covering the cost of airfare and hotel stay. Any support means so much to us—thank you for helping us make this journey possible!
