Travel & Living Expenses for Cheri

Hi everyone, my name is Sam and I’m reaching out for help for a very dear friend of mine. I know a lot of those around the Hutchinson, KS area remember Cheri and all the lives she touched through her time teaching at Genesis and just being an amazing human being. She was always there to help and knew how to make people feel special. Some of you might know that her and John moved to Texas a few years back. John has had a variety of health issues that has left him unable to work and Cheri has been there to provide constant care for him on top of working a full time job with help from Graham, her son.

On Dec. 21st John took a turn for the worst and was taken by ambulance to Longview Medical Center and later transferred to Dallas, TX and was placed in ICU with Sepsis. He is now fighting for his life on 3 vasopressers and blood transfusions that are struggling to keep up. If he is able to pull through, he has a long road ahead and will need all the support from family he can get.

Cheri has exhausted all paid time off from her job and is now forced to decide between being there with John AND keeping her job to pay the bills. Plus the additional traveling expenses from driving too and from home and back to Dallas to be with John.
