I am raising funds for myself so I can travel to Florida for the birth of my first grandchild. This is a very important moment in my life, and I am asking for help getting there for a brief visit and then returning to Seattle. I really want to be there to see my grandchild be born.

Nine years ago, I came to Seattle to find my half little brother. After that move, I became homeless, and I have been unable to work because of mental health issues connected to trauma and abuse. Because of that, I do not have the money for this trip on my own.

The funds from this fundraiser would go toward an Amtrak round trip to Florida and back. I need to keep the visit short because I am already committed to trauma and abuse therapy at Harborview in Seattle, which is care I have needed since childhood. Being able to make this trip and still return for therapy would mean a great deal to me.
