As some may know baby Evryn was born with a rare heart condition called Tetraology of Fallot back in June 2022, we had a traumatic experience being stuck in NOLA for 96 days after a rough recovery during his first surgeries.
When he was born he was airlifted to NOLA. He stayed in NICU for 3 weeks. I was unable to hold my baby for 10 days because not only was he on medicine to keep his heart working but I was recovering from a c section and my husband was unable to take off work.
My husband is currently unable to take off work again which means I am having to travel and prepare with the baby alone.
Evryn had a shunt placed at 3 weeks old. He was unable to be extubated. He was put back into surgery and they placed a stent. His oxygen levels have been at 80% and we have been awaiting his final surgery as he’s been growing. Now he’s big and his stents are starting to fail, it’s time for his big surgery.
During our first stay we lost our vehicle and all of our belongings. It was not a fun time.
We are opening this in hopes that the people that love and care about us are willing to relieve some of the financial stress during this extremely stressful time. We are a one income family and with all of Evryns medical complexities and awaiting surgery I have not been able to work to relieve some of the financial burden from my husband.
We will be needing some extra funds for food and gas and just daily necessities and hotel fees.
We know from experience this can get really expensive very fast and we are very grateful for anyone who has helped in the past and continues to help and keep us in your prayers.
