Travel Expenses for WWDC2022
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mykola Grymalyuk. I am the co-founder of Dortania and project lead of projects such as OpenCore Legacy Patcher! I've been working on keeping old Macs out of the landfill for almost two years now, trying our hardest to keep them running great on the latest OS.
I've been given the extraordinary opportunity to go to Apple's WWDC2022 Conference in person! While I would love to go on my own savings, I'm unable to afford the expenses as a student in University. I very much prefer not to take monetary donations with OpenCore Legacy Patcher. However, this opportunity is quite rare to come by, and I'm unsure if I'll ever get the chance to go again.
The event is on June 6th, 2022, at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, and I reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Because of the long-distance and crossing of international borders, it's a fair bit more expensive to fly there and back and pay for lodging in the meantime.
- Expected duration: June 5th to 7th
Expected costs for the trip:
The flight between Calgary International Airport and San Francisco International Airport:
- $355 - $500 (Round Trip)
Lodging for June 5th and 6th:
- $110 per night near ($220 total)
Taxi/Uber between Lodging and AirPort:
- $60 each way ($120 total)
Any extra donations made will be put towards food as well as my education and development tools for OpenCore Legacy Patcher such as more testing hardware.
