Hello. My name is Matthew Burgess. I'm starting this on behalf of amanda Arnold. My fiance of 10 years. Ill do my best to sum up all the important factors. My brain is scattered and I'm sorry if my thoughts are off the wall. Thank you so much for taking the time to read all this.

Amanda and I have 3 children. All girls. Ages 14, 10 and 8. To say they've been through the ringer is an understatement.
Amanda is such a kind person and has such a big heart. She's been through hell her entire life and obviously no one ever deserves cancer or an illness but she definitely does not. It crushes me. Shes been through so many hospital visits and health issues. Shes our rock and without her our family would be lost.

At the end of August Amanda was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

She had to quit her job and I'm basically at part time now with all of her appointments and helping with things she cant do.

They rushed her into starting chemo and on her first chemo treatment her body didn't take it well. It resulted in her body going septic and her heart failing. She spent 3 weeks in Buffalo general hospital ICU. The outlook was Grim but the first miracle happened and she pulled through.

They decided on a Different type of chemo mixed with radiation. It went well for awhile but the week before Christmas she got colitis and was back in Buffalo general a second time. She's home now awaiting this life changing surgery.

From the beginning we've fought with her insurance as they have literally battled us on everything. We have tried to do this on our own and with family but its become too big of a struggle and we are sinking deeper and deeper into debt.

This past week we drove to Pittsburgh to upmc passavant to do testing and they canceled on us the day we arrived in Pittsburgh. Again, the insurance wouldn't approve of her going to upmc passavant. They rescheduled and the only time they could see us is this Saturday the 4th and Monday the 7th. The 7th of March is for surgery prep for on March 10th. The surgery is to remove the tumor and she'll have a colostomy bag possibly for life due to where the tumor is located.

This new trip is going to crush us and we don't know what we're going to do when she has surgery on the 10th of march.

We've tried to do this on our own and its become too much. Anything helps right now to make sure we can get to these appointments and make sure I'm there with her for surgery.
