Travel Expenses & Bills: Help Support an Artist’s Dream

Hi there! My name is Jeremy, I go by Jeremy The Artist or JTA. I’ve been a professional freelance artist for almost 15 years now, and I've been full-time freelance since January.

That honestly wasn’t the initial plan, but in November 2024, I came to a fork in the road: I had the amazing opportunity to travel across the ocean for the first time in my life, something I’ve dreamt about doing for literally the last 20 years. But in order to do so, I had to quit my part-time job.

…so I quit. And had an amazing time being a traveling artist, exploring a whole new country.

Coming back from that trip, I’ve been freelancing and caricaturing — but when it rains, it pours. Contracts and gigs fall through, ongoing car repairs… this has been one of the more rewarding times of my life, but it’s definitely been a rough start.

Somehow, miraculously, I have manifested an invite to travel across the world this summer. I’ve worked really hard putting the money together and bought my ticket, but I could really use some help.

Any money given here will go to immediate bills and travel expenses (i.e., checked bags, hotel/Airbnb, food).

I plan to do a bit more social media of my travels this summer and have some grand plans for the art I wanna create while exploring and meeting locals. But it will be a lot easier to concentrate on creating, knowing my regular bills are covered.

At almost age 40, I’m finally achieving my lifelong goals of traveling the world — so any help in me living out what I thought might be an impossible dream would be appreciated beyond words.
